NOTE! If you want a larger pixel size version of these pictures, or ones that aren't sharpened, just ask! The original versions of these pictures are all at 1920x2560, and while I refuse to POST those sized pictures here I am not against sending a larger sized version to you if you want them.

Here's the deal:
-Ask for a larger sized version and I'll send you one at 1280x960 pixels. (If I know you well enough and trust you though, I'll probably send you one at a higher resolution than that. [Though not as high as the commercial version.])
-However, if you want to use these for commercial uses send me a note to discuss payments and such and I'll send you the 1920x2560 version. =/

Taken at: The 2007 US Arabian/Anglo Arabian/Half Arabian Nationals in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Read the rules in my journal if you wish to use this image. If you understand them and still wish to use this then please leave me a note/comment/etc so that I can know.

Note: Well this is a first... The head turned out blurry but the rest of the body is fine... .__. WTF?

Oh gosh!! That man's about to hit it!!

And through wax seals and padlocks... A hand through my ribcage...Past the choking I saw palms and fingers grasping shoulders...collarbone...crushing
I imagined myself hacking desperately at a sea of appendages...
:iconnyaorestock:
 Actually he's not. The only time you hit your horse during a Halter session is when they are behaving extremely badly and even then when you do use the whip it's more like a light slap than anything else. Thing is, in Halter the horse is supposed to respond to how you hold the whip and what you ask of them with the lead. The way he's holding the whip right now, despite making it look like he's going to hit the horse, is actually a cue for the animal to stand up straight and to keep their heads up. Some horses do freak out when given this cue, because it does look like they might get hit from their standpoint, or when too much pressure is applied by the handler but really the horse in this photo is mostly freaking out because the crowd in the stands are screaming and shouting whenever another horse they like is being judged in the background; not because of what his handler is doing.
Besides, everyone in the crowd would have charged the man if he dared start actually abusing the horse in front of them. xD (That's the nice thing about Nationals, all the top trainers are there and no one tolerates people abusing their horses here.)

Ah... okay. I don't know the rules of Halter sessions very well. XD

But I'm glad you cleared that up with me. I was getting a bit worried. :/

Good shot though. :)

It's alright, not many people do. =)
I would have also been worried too if I saw this picture and didn't know the reason behind why he was holding the whip that way to be honest. ^^
And thank you. =D
